I have thoroughly enjoyed working within a VIP environment for eight years now, but I actually came from a building and renovations background. When I started my iGaming career I had pretty much no knowledge of online gaming or betting, so it was a steep learning curve, but I knew I had found my thing.
From the very start of my iGaming career back in 2010, it was recognised that I was able to quickly build a great rapport with clients, and so I naturally found myself on the VIP Customer Service team. From that point on, I quickly climbed the ‘VIP ladder’, experiencing various different roles, until finally landing my dream job as Head of VIP here at Energy – giving me the opportunity to turn my VIP vision into a reality. When I first arrived in Malta, I worked as a holiday representative, and dealing with tourists can be extremely challenging! You are always responsible for every problem and people expect you to perform miracles.
Then, around three years ago, I discovered the iGaming industry and started working at Energy. My first role was as a Customer Service Agent, then I moved to the Loyalty Department, but my dedication meant that I soon got asked to join the VIP Department, and I haven’t ever looked back. Before joining the iGaming industry, I worked for almost nine years as a professional fashion and celebrity hair stylist – a role in which I developed a keen appreciation for ‘going the extra mile’ to exceed even the highest expectations.
When I joined the Energy team, as a Customer Support Agent, just over a year ago, I brought this attitude with me, and with each month that went by, I became increasingly hungry to work with the big players. Thanks to my background I was actively searching for a job abroad where I could apply my previously nurtured skills. Add to that the opportunity to learn so much about such an exciting industry - I was sold! Starting out in customer support, my ultimate goal was always to become a member of the strongest VIP team thereis. Well here I am and loving every minute.
