In a standard 52-card deck, there are over 5,000 possible flush hand combinations and each of these will be ranked by the highest card, otherwise known as broadway straight, second card, and so forth.

Below are some of the highest combinations for flushes, so bear this in mind. The ace will represent the higher card and it is the best five card hand, so here is a typical flush rank, starting with the ace high flush.

HOW TO GET A FLUSH IN POKER?

So, the strength of this hand rank will ultimately depend on the poker games you play. However, we believe the following tips will be useful in the long run.

• Don’t play low cards before the flop – Even if you are suited, a good example of this, would be playing low-value cards before the flop, which can land you in trouble.
• Aim for the Ace – With the ace high, you are unlikely to fear your opponent with different suits as you will have a top poker hand, unless they draw a seven high straight or straight flush, which would beat your hand and you would lose out on the pot.
• Be aggressive – By taking a more combative approach when competing with two or more players, you can try to raise another player’s bet and bluff them to get your hands on the pot. Slow play, for example, can be costly when you are up against multiple players, especially if they have the same high card.
