Poker is arguably one of the most popular casino games of all time. Not only has it withstood the test of time, but it has also thrived, going as far as to become a highly competitive event that sees thousands of poker players each year.

Getting into poker isn’t as easy as other card games. It is one of the few that requires both luck and skill, so we wouldn’t say that poker is all that beginner-friendly to newer players. With that said, we’re here to help.

We’ve constructed a few poker charts to help guide you through your online poker journey. They’ll act as your go-to resource and handy tools to keep in your toolkit.

CHART 6: POKER STARTING HAND RANGES (6-MAX)

It is no secret that poker requires some strategy if you want to boost your chances of winning. So, here’s a chart that represents which hands/ hand ranges to play depending on your place at the table.

In some cases, the strength of your actual hand is less valuable than player positions. Earlier positions hold more options than a middle position, for instance, but expose your play early on. Bear in mind that this poker chart is for cash games with six positions:

CHART 22: PUSH FOLD CHART

A push/fold chart shows you when it is most profitable to shove a specific hand based on your place at the poker table as well as the stack depth, and ultimately improves your chances of winning even when your opponents are calling. Stack depth, or stack sizes, refers to the value of the stakes being played. For the newer players out there, to ‘shove’ refers to putting all your chips in one pot, essentially going ‘all in’.

The two push/fold charts you’ll find below are push/fold charts for heads-up play. For games with over two participants, push/fold charts can be used for Small Blind open-shove ranges, and call charts can be used for Big Blind calling vs. Small Blind shoves.

These push fold charts may also give you an estimate on how to adjust your ranges based on the ante size.

OUR FINAL THOUGHTS ON USING A POKER CHART

At the end of the day, there is no guarantee that any of these charts will boost your odds, but they can help you make better decisions and push more hands based on your situation at the time.

That said, factors such as the ante size, stack sizes, whether you play from the early, late or middle position, or even the value of the big and small blind, should be taken into account when building your strategy — unless you are betting at poker sites, then your strategy will change completely. So, if you want our final thoughts: poker charts are a great tool to have, but with regards to winning, you cannot rely on them wholeheartedly.

EnergyCasino is one of the best poker sites around, give our poker games a gander and put these poker charts to use.
