The game in a nutshell
Baccarat is an elaborate game of chance, popular with noble high-rollers around the world. In an online casino setting the player can bet on three possible positions: Player (Punto), Banker (Banco), and Tie. The goal of the game is to predict and bet on the higher hand of the two. Highest possible hand value in Baccarat is 9. Due to unique card evaluation, bust is not possible.
Card values
What you need to know before you start playing
Baccarat is played with 8 decks of cards. Standard 52 card decks are used. Cards 2-9 are valued at their face value, Aces count as 1, while Tens, Jacks, Queens, and Kings are valued as 0. Suits make no difference in Baccarat. After the bets are placed, Player and Banker positions are dealt two cards each and their hands evaluated. If the total value of the hand is two-digit, simply ignore the first digit to arrive at the correct hand value. In specific cases a third card is dealt to either Banker or Player, or both. The hand that is closest to 9 is the winning hand If both hands are of equal values, the result is a Tie. In this case bets on Player and Banker fields push and are returned to the player.
Third card rules
Depending on the value of the hand, a third card is automatically drawn from the shoe.
Important Note:
If either the Player or the Banker has a total hand value of 8 or 9, they both stand and no third card is drawn. This rule overrides all other rules. Third card rule is different for Player and Banker positions.
Player
If the Player's total hand value of the first two cards is:
0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 – Player automatically receives a third card
6 or 7 – Player automatically stands
Banker
If the Player stands and Banker's total hand value of first two cards is:
0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 – Banker automatically receives a third card
6, 7 – Banker automatically stands
If the Player receives a third card and...
... Banker's total hand value of the first two cards is | ... then Banker automatically receives a third card if Player's third card is | ... and does not receive the card if Player's third card is |

Payout
If player bets on Player and Player wins, payout is 1:1.
If player bets on Banker and Banker wins, payout is 19:20 (or 1:1 minus 5% commission).
If player bets on Tie and total hand values of both Player and Banker are equal, payout is 9:1.
How to play
Baccarat game flow
Check the table limits by clicking on the table limits plate on top left of your screen. Select a chip of desired value and place it on Player, Banker, or Tie fields. If you need to correct your bet, click CLEAR BET and place the bet you want. Click deal. Both Player and Banker will receive two cards. According to Third card rules a third card may be dealt. Hands are evaluated and wins distributed.
